I volunteered to draft a report for the department chair focusing on the integration of technology into the accounting curriculum. In this report, I examined the SOA's perspective on technology education within accounting and outlined clear objectives for embedding technology into the curriculum. The comittee's proposal include several curriculum modifications, such as strengthening spreadsheet education, granting instructors the flexibility to weave in emerging technologies, assimilating data analytics through Python coding, and revising the existing data analytics course to reflect these advancements.
