As co-chair of the ACRL DLS Instruction Section, I organized the Section’s inaugural webinar, “Exploring Online Student Engagement: Encouraging Active Learning at a Distance” with my co-chair Natalie Haber (formerly Bennett). The webinar was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM EST and was a huge success with over 300 attendees at its peak. In addition to planning and organizing the webinar, I served as the event’s moderator and was responsible for introducing the three groups of presenters and facilitating the Q&A. Due to the overwhelming success of our webinar, the ACRL DLS IS Committee has continued to organize and host similar webinars.
