Part of the General Education Innovation Committee, funded with an Innovation grant from the University. Our group is studying ways to innovate the general education curriculum at CMU, including research on general education programs across the country, including our comparison universities. The committee meets bi-weekly, attends workshops and conferences that detail curricular innovation in general education, created a survey instrument to gauge faculty satisfaction with our current gen ed program, and is determining optimal student learning outcomes for all students at CMU.
