Two-day workshop series to train faculty search advocates in practices to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in faculty searches. Organized by Dr. Veronica Barone, Faculty DEI Fellow (Office for Institutional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), the pilot workshop included presentations from OID, HR, and faculty experts. I facilitated a session on implicit bias to prepare faculty to recognize and interrupt biases that influence the search process. The pilot workshop was offered to all chairs and directors in the College of Science and Engineering.
