Claire Parrish is a h.s. student in SW MI and attends Calvin College. She has been active in h.s. in Michigan history day competitions, 3 times going to national level. This year her interest is focused on PBBs in MI. I answered her emails, sent her directions. She came after her h.s. class got out on Friday May 6, 2019 and spent a few hours in the archives at CMU. I stayed late to accommodate her. I had collections out for her to review, helped her find information of interest, provided her with a finding aid and citation information. My actual work with her on that day was 2 hours. Processing the two collections she used was the work of my intern and me all term. She will use the information she gathered in her final competition presentation and is working on a paper which she will donate to the Clarke on the topic. There will likely be followup.
