Assist Christi Brookes and Greg Smith of CLASS with their Critical Engagements endeavor offering up the Libraries expertise on the topic of that year's "Big Question." Also work with Frank Boles to target 1-2 Clarke speaker series events to that year's topic. In Spring 2020, amid the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I posted several blog posts about fake news and misinformation.
That committee has done quite a bit and become an interdisciplinary and intellectual model of scholarship at CMU. Much of the good work manifests and guest speakers and such programming. Additionally, there is a shared read that members of the committee put forward. My major contributions have been in the Clarke speaker series and in writing blogs for the Critical Engagements site.
