Description

Created and implemented a virtual continuing education series to showcase CMU CSD Faculty and Staff and to create community between the department faculty and staff, off campus clinical supervisors, and students. Offered free continuing education credits to stakeholders who help to train our student clinicians in the community. Fall 2020 Implemented the program to create community with off campus stakeholders, students, and faculty and to better utilize our ASHA CE provider status.
November 20, 2020 featured Dr. Sarah Grinn who presented a 1 hour lecture on –Expanding Audiology Services - Select, Fit, Verify, and Bill for Hearing Protection Devices. (46 registrants, 31 attended, 17 requesting CEUs)
February 9, 2021 featured Dr. Katie Squires who presented a 3-hour lecture on –What SLPs Need to Know about Dyslexia. (57 registrants, 27attended, 15 requesting CEUs)
April 14, 2021 featured Natalie Douglas & Katie Strong who presented a 2-lecture on Keeping the Engine Running: Supporting Communication in Individuals with Chronic Language and Cognitive Challenges. (28 registrants, 21 attended, 10 requesting CEUs)
