Attend meetings, share news from CMU with Board members from other colleges and universities in Michigan, Attend national level meetings for higher education as well NEA in general, represent MAHE on MEA's Branding Committee, and other relevant tasks assigned by the president. As selected Board member of MAHE by CMU, I also attended FA meetings regularyly since 2016 and served on its communication comittee that was responsible for organizing 50 years of FA at CMU.
Enhanced my understanding of the issues faced by the community colleges, learned about the common issues across education nationwide, got an opportunity to learn about the role of unions in higher education, and networking.
