My director and Prof. Mike Federspiel worked with 2 Petoskey area historical societies (Little Traverse Bay Historical Museum and Harbor Springs History Museum) which do not have trained staff to send their collections related to Hemingway's summer locale to us. I processed them, created finding aids for them, encoded the finding aids, cataloged the records to make them accessible to researchers at and beyond CMU. In both collections there were cellulose nitrate negatives which can self-combust. I separated these negatives, labeled the boxes with cell.nitrates in them, and warned the historical societies.
