The MSA FLC consisted of the MSA Program Director, MSA faculty, and me—the MSA Librarian. To kick-start our examination of alternative capstones in higher education, I searched the literature and compiled a list of suggested reading which was featured in our FLC poster. The FLC identified the best practices and lessons learned for MSA 698, the alternative course to the traditional capstone course MSA 699. In addition to searching the literature, I played a significant role in creating and presenting our poster, “MSA Alternative Capstone: Best Practices and Lessons Learned.”
Identified best practices for teaching the MSA 698 alternative capstone course face-to-face and online. Shared best practices and lessons learned May 8, 2017 at the Great Lakes Conference on Teaching and Learning in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Presented poster: “MSA Alternative Capstone: Best Practices and Lessons Learned."
