Redesigned CMU teacher education programs to meet new Michigan Department of Education standards. I worked with 24 education faculty and staff from five colleges, eleven departments, and two centers. We reviewed the current elementary program data for areas of strength and improvement, collected feedback from P-12 stakeholders, mapped the current elementary curriculum to the new standards to identify gaps, collaborated to design two new majors to meet the new state standards, designed new curriculum, designed new clinical experiences, mapped new curriculum to the new standards, coordinated with department faculty, developed master course syllabi, and submitted curriculum through the senate review committee.
