As chair of the Music Theatre Interdisciplinary Council I chaired all of the meetings for 2020-21 via Webex. I coordinated the updating of the audition requirements for the Music Theatre Interdisciplinary Program. I created documents for changes in the curriculum as requested by the School of Music and the Theatre and Dance Department which was approved by the council I secured a judge for the Music Theatre Scholarship Competition and coordinated communication for the on-line event. I update the Blackboard Shell for Music Theatre as needed and communicated regularly with the Music Theatre Students.
In 2020-21 the Music Theatre curriculum was revised. The Music Theatre Interdisciplinary Council voted to make the program and Inter-departmental program beginning in the fall of 2021. All auditions for the program for 2021 were done by video submission only. This is the first time the program has done this.
