Henry Hassinger Volunteer of the Year Award for the Alaska Region of the National Park Service

The award recognized my efforts to make photographs for Denali National Park and Preserve on two occasions the previous year. I spent a total of 19 days at the park working an average of 15 hours a day. I donated 1,400 high-resolution photographs to the park for their use without restriction. The award also recognized my efforts with the park establishing a partnership to provide summer photojournalism student interns from CMU to work with the media specialist producing content for their website and providing still photography.
