To celebrate 50 years of ALA Accreditation, the Wayne State University School of Information Sciences requested the nominations of outstanding SIS alumni who have had notable professional achievements. The many accomplishments of the nominees made it difficult to select just 50, and so 54 Shining Stars were chosen instead. Additionally, 33 Honorable Mentions were also made.
