"Breaking the Sound Barrier" was selected as one of six finalists for the prestigious Peter C. Rollins Documentary Award for 2019. There were a total of 85 entries from around the world. The prize is awarded annually by the Popular Culture Association. The competition is open to all documentary filmmakers, not just academic or members of the PCA.
