Abstract

Large organizations such as Fortune 500 companies have implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support their business transactions and decision making in the recent decades. Due to its functional complexity and integrational design, the learning of using an ERP system has always been challenging. Many learning games such as ERP simulations and Flash games have been designed and developed to tackle this challenge. Correspondingly, many studies have been devoted to investigate the learning effectiveness and relevant issues of the ERP learning games. This meta research collects thirty-six research studies on ERP learning games and conducts an analysis on them. It provides a comprehensive view on the implementation of ERP learning games and sheds lights on the following important issues: research trends, ERP modules, disciplinary areas, and audience types.
