A one-dimensional viscoelastic model of blood vessel growth: derivation, analysis, and simulation

Abstract

We present a one-dimensional viscoelastic model of angiogenesis. We prove under certain conditions especially slow growth this model predicts global solutions. We present various simulations reproducing experimental observations.
