Abstract
This manuscript describes my personal transformation into a servant leader. The essay recounts multiple educational events that created a servant leadership world view that I share with my undergraduate leadership students. It also retells stories from my past that significantly shaped my current role as a leadership studies educator. Also, this essay explains why I research undergraduate service as a means for student development. Clearly, one small act of generosity may become the catalyst for lasting, positive social change.
