Abstract

Using technology has been widely expanded in our contemporary world, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of the most recent methods that is widespread through different areas. RFID has multiple considerable applications with continues advantages such as batch readability, process capability, resistance to harsh environment and information storage. However recent researches are challenging RFID capability and its advantages in supply chain. In this paper we will go through multiple of these challenges and study how they can be solved and turn in to RFID benefits. In addition, we will discuss the inventory management and its importance for a firm and we will show how RFID technology can be used there. Moreover, we will introduce a study about application of RFID on Kanban inventory approach. This study will evaluate the opportunity of using RFID-based Kanban inventory management over two-bin Kanban inventory management.
