Abstract

This paper contributes to the international business literature by both exploring the role of Latin America within the core international business scholarship. About the role of Latin America on international business scholarship, we find that: (1) Latin American is generally represented as a geographic study area. Additionally, we find that (2) Latin American-based authors are disproportionately absent from the core International business journals. We offer several recommendations to better position research on Latin America as well as research by Latin Americans and Latin American-based authors.
