An Examination of Business Analysis Techniques in SAD Sources

Abstract

The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) publishes A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) that identifies more than thirty techniques used by business analysts. This content analysis study assessed the extent to which these techniques are addressed in commonly-used systems analysis and design textbooks. The results draw attention to BA techniques that may be under-represented in IS programs.
