Abstract
Abstract Upon completion of a paid for-credit internship, supply chain management (SCM) students were evaluated by their internship supervisors in terms of overall career readiness as well as a number of key competencies associated with career readiness. Regression analysis indicates that the overall perceived career readiness of SCM students is significantly affected by the internship supervisor’s evaluation of a student’s basic foundation skills, social intelligence and professional attitude. Career management was not found to have a significant effect on perceived career readiness.
