Abstract

Aphasia disrupts a person’s view of who they were, are, and will be. In other words, their identity. Narrative is one means of reconstructing identity by making meaning out of the biographic disruption caused by aphasia. This presentation will share the process of an interdisciplinary songwriting intervention designed for persons with aphasia and outcomes targeting health-related quality of life.
