Single phase high-Tc superconductors YBa2Cu2,85Co0,15O7-δ have been prepared by solid state reaction in an alumina crucible. The product was heat treated in O2 at 300°C for 40 hours, then slowly cooled to room temperature. The samples were investigated by X-ray and thermogravimetric measurements. The X-ray measurements revealed that the compound has a tetragonal structure. The main effect of Co consists of a lower decrease of oxygen stoechiometry with temperature.
