Abstract

Conference canceled due to COVID

Join us to reframe your thinking and explore the details of simulated learning best practice. Simulation education provides opportunities to develop clinical knowledge in a safe, low risk learning environment. Simulated cases facilitate learning without risk with varying case complexity and require no direct patient contact. Simulation education has been implemented in purposeful ways in many CSD programs. This interactive session will describe systematic implementation of simulated education, showcase ways simulation is used with undergraduate and graduate programs at different universities, and provide examples of use during the COVID-19 crisis. Student satisfaction with simulation and evaluation tools will be provided. Participants will discuss potential use of simulation education in their own courses or programs.
