Abstract

This session will discuss the development of a mentoring program that matches female business students with successful female alumni in a one-on-one structured mentoring program. This program, titled the Women in Business Mentoring Program was designed to help provide exemplary female mentors for our undergraduate students and to help coach these young women on how to break the glass ceiling and rise to leadership positions in the workplace. The session will include sample handouts that were used on the assessment and development of student needs that can be used at other institutions to create a mentoring program.
