Everett Rogers’s Diffusion of Innovation Theory presentation on the Pop & Critical: Thinking Philosophically About Media panel

Research output: Contribution to conferencePosterpeer-review

Abstract

Which academic theories do you continue to use day-to-day? Participants will connect their philosophical research with their media productions and curriculum designs. Each panelist will describe a philosophical thread that informed their own academic studies, then describe how they continue to use that theory in curriculum design and assessment, as well as assignments and production criticism. The rally cry is that theory matters – in the nitty-gritty of class work and curriculum design – it’s how we connect back to our peers in our professional writing. Alignment with external accreditation, digital badges, micro-credentials and certificate programs will also be highlighted.
