Abstract

A fast, but approximate, solver for flexible membranes is developed. The solver has been combined with the engineering level aerothermodynamics code CBAERO to provide a fast, coupled, prediction of fluid structural interactions for flex reentry systems. The development of the flexible solver, it's coupling with CBAERO, and preliminary results are presented.
