Abstract
[Formula Presented] decay of the neutron-rich nuclides [Formula Presented] has been used to populate low-energy levels of [Formula Presented], respectively. A half-life of [Formula Presented] was deduced for [Formula Presented], significantly longer than that determined from previous measurements. The [Formula Presented] decay of [Formula Presented] is characterized by a short half-life of [Formula Presented], with nearly all of the decay directly populating the [Formula Presented] ground state of [Formula Presented]. The role of the spin-flip process [Formula Presented] in defining the [Formula Presented]-decay properties of nuclei near [Formula Presented], including [Formula Presented], is discussed.
