Abstract
The lack of knowledge of the [Formula Presented] reaction rate has been shown to contribute a large uncertainty to the production of [Formula Presented] in core-collapse supernovae. By considering likely contributions from resonances associated with [Formula Presented] states that are the isobaric analog of states in [Formula Presented] we have determined that the currently accepted value of the [Formula Presented] reaction rate is unlikely to be inaccurate by more than an order of magnitude. These conclusions are confirmed by the shell model calculations with the FPD6 effective interaction.
