Abstract
HAPI-Kredi, through sheer persistence and determination of its limited personnel, has seen steady growth in the number of target clients served from June 2013 through June 2014. HAPI-Kredi’s entire capital base of $5,500 is currently loaned out with few immediate prospects for new capital injection. Additionally HAPI-Kredi has yet to achieve its organizationally stated goal of self-sufficiency and more recently has been overshadowed by the expansion of other HAPI projects, especially the budding medical facility and medical mission. Few new capital inputs and a new 85% profit tax within HAPI have stalled expansion. Additionally, the primary focus of the local HAPI board member has turned toward works of grandeur and family enrichment. As of July 1, 2014, HAPI-Kredi must find a path forward that leads to self-sufficiency or risk succumbing to the Schumpeterian forces of “creative destructionism”.
