“How forced is forced migration? Civilian’s coping strategies during civil war”

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Current research on forced migration focuses on explaining factors associated with the decisions of individuals to move during conflict. However, it is striking to note that for all the people that flee during conflict, many more stay put and risk their lives. I argue that the study of why people flee during conflict is incomplete without also understanding why some do not flee.
