Abstract
In the Global Perspectives: Sustainability, Ecological Justice, and Globalization session my paper reviews the redefinition of sustainability forced by the question of justice. The very meaning of "Ecological" is called into question relative to the separation of the ecological from the social, generating very different movements and necessitating very different environmental politics than traditionally conceived of in the United States.
