Abstract

RPL is a light IPv6 network routing protocol that can make a full use of the energy of smart devices and it is very important for the overall performance of Internet of Things (IoT). RPL has become the routing protocol for IoT. However, RPL struggles to provide desirable performance regarding energy-efficiency and reliability simultaneously. In this paper, a reliable and energy-efficient RPL is proposed. The proposed RPL obtains decent links for information routing and provides optimal transmission power.
