Abstract

The CAD/CAM/CAE software packages are becoming more sophisticated, though they are growing more user-friendly. It’s easier for one to know what the software is doing with visual feedback at every step. Since students learn best when they can see things and work with them, their learning in engineering and technology can be greatly enhanced with such a software package incorporated. This article discusses how I-DEAS and other two supporting software were utilized to integrate CAD/CAM/CAE to enhance students’ learning in the mechanical engineering technology program at Central Michigan University.
