Abstract

The automotive industry has recently taken a path of advancement towards being fully autonomous. Everything in the world has become a part of this network called the Internet of Things (IoT). This paper discusses the benefits and the potential of what adding sensors and systems to our traffic's infrastructure has to offer. Specifically in high-volume automobile traffic areas, we are seeing a bottleneck, in theory we're approaching a tangent in the technological world where we can integrate our ideas to test whether we can reduce this everyday dilemma. The proposed solution is a concept that uses a network of sensors connected with computer devices, while simultaneously communicating with the automobiles on the road through the internet.
