Abstract

This paper presents "KASER" (i.e., Knowledge Amplification by Structured Expert Randomization) which is a third generation expert system. It is capable of deductive, inductive, as well as mixed derivations. It exhibits supra-linear learning, which bears proportion to the degree of domain symmetry. The KASER is a creative expert system and its creativity can be controlled by way of squelching. The system achieves creative reasoning through the use of declarative object trees. KASERS compute with words and phrases and present a capability for metaphorical explanation.
