Abstract
Quality of life is important outcome for clinical trials. Many physicians are relatively unfamiliar with the methodology used in the assessment of quality of life. This first portion of this article will briefly outline the techniques currently available to measure quality of life. The second portion of this article reviews the limited amount of literature available examining quality of life outcomes for patients with rectal cancer.
