Abstract

As the recognized value of Professional Development Schools (PDS) continues to grow, a fundamental question of the PDS structure continues for engaged PDS faculty on the higher education side of the partnership. That questions remains “how do faculty demonstrate effective teaching and learning in clinical practice settings to earn promotion and tenure?” (2021 conference strands #2, #5, & #6). This session provides a set of authentic, research-based, effective, and quantifiable strategies to allow clinical practice faculty to demonstrate candidate learning and effective faculty clinical practice across educator preparation programs.
