Abstract

This paper analyzes, in case study form, the Small Farmers and Business Bank, Ltd. (SFBB) of Belize, Central America. Using in-depth, qualitative, semi-structured interviews of fifteen SFBB micro and small enterprise (MSE) borrowers, a preliminary assessment of the SFBB and its impact on MSE firm-level and national development is discussed.
