Abstract

Current research emphasizes the importance of technology in establishing and supporting active learning environments in mathematics classrooms. MPTEAM II learning community focused on learning advanced features of open source dynamic mathematics systems, handheld technology, tablets, and tools for facilitation of the discourse in a technology-intensive classroom. The activities resulted in creation of customized HTML5 (tablet-friendly) applets for the use in classrooms and exploratory implementation of tools for the management of technology-based activities in faculty’s classes.
