Abstract
Amine terminal controlled molecular weight poly(aryl ether sulfone) was prepared by step growth polymerization of bisphenol-A, 4-chlorophenylsulfone and 2-aminophenol. These were subsequently converted to diethyldithiocarbamate terminated macroinitiators. The macroinitiators were used to prepare polystyrene-poly(aryl ether sulfone)-polystyrene, ABA triblock copolymers. The block copolymers show combinations of thermal features of polystyrene and poly(aryl ether sulfone).
