Preparing Students for Independent Contracting, Freelancing, and the Gig Economy

Research output: Contribution to conferencePosterpeer-review

Abstract

Many students will become full-time or part-time media freelancers. Some students thrive in this world, and it’s a great fit for their skills and personality. For others, it’s something they stumble into by default. It’s our job to ensure that students graduate with their eyes open and the toolkit they need to prosper in this arena, should they decide to enter it. This panel shares ideas on how and what to teach about working in the media gig economy.
