Abstract
Bring your students into Second Life to explore identity, observe or interact with people across the world, or participate in immersive simulations of different cultures, contexts, and time periods. Those bringing laptops will develop a professional avatar, instructional resources, and assignments in this hands-on workshop (download the free program and register for a free account at http://www.secondlife.com; send your SL name in advance to Lesley.Withers@cmich.edu). Those without laptops/avatars can observe, then register for SL accounts.
