Abstract

The authors have discussed the feasibility of synthesizing high molecular weight polyarylethers via a nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction utilizing NMP as the dipolar aprotic solvent along with toluene and anhydrous K//2CO//3. The authors also investigated whether a wide variety of such polyarylethers of high molecular weight could be synthesized.
