Abstract
Women faculty who serve as program coordinators, directors or department chairpersons often have limited leadership education or training. They assume important roles, however may have a narrow view of university initiatives, external and internal pressures, budgetary expertise, human management systems and political dynamics. This session will discuss the creation of a Leadership Fellow Program (LFP), a one-year faculty internship for women faculty designed to build individual leadership capacity and explore opportunities for future growth through consistent and comprehensive mentorship.
