Abstract

This article proposes putting a Silicon Valley law firm's form system online - and teaching it to entrepreneurs, students, attorneys and others. Doing this would make it easier to form new business entities, build teams, protect intellectual property, raise capital, and manage growth and risks. The system could also provide and teach "starting point documents" that could be used to execute repeat entrepreneurial transactions. This would help reduce transaction costs while allowing more people to leverage sophisticated know-how. Thus, the system would produce efficiency and quality gains. That is why Silicon Valley law firms use them.
