The Psychology of Conducting

Research output: Contribution to conferencePoster

Abstract

What most peope know of conducting is largely relagated to what is seen from the audience's perspective. The old joke that a conductor simply waives their arms and at the end, they take a bow is far too simplified. Knowing the what the hands, arms, and face represent in music can help audiences and performers alike appreciate the intricate details of the psychology of conducting.<br>
