Abstract

From May 2019-March 2020, Professor Gretchen Papazian and I co-curated the Clarke Historical Library's latest book exhibit, which focused on the Clarke's vast collection of pop-up books. This involved months of research, hands-on working with the books, selection, organization, and then helping with the show's installation. The exhibit opened in March 2020, but our guest lecture introducing the exhibit was delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis, and did not happen virtually until October 2020, although people were able to visit the exhibit in person once the COVID lockdown was lifted, and did so by appointment throughout the summer and the fall of 2020.
