Abstract

The ultraviolet-induced discharge currents and reduction of the piezoelectric coefficient in cellular polypropylene films were studied. The study was performed under irradiation with monochromatic UV light in order to obtain information on the trap energies. The results showed three distinct deep charge trap levels at energies between 4.6 and 6.3 eV in cellular polypropylene films.
